I used to drive this route, at the time when this was filmed. It was my main route from 2015 to 2020, when I left the UK for good. I loved it so much. At 1:04 you see the stop where we used to change drivers, as it's the stop just outside the garage. I probably recognize the driver that came off. The people waiting at that bus stop are bus drivers. One of them would drive this bus and the others were going to Harrow Bus Station in order to start their duties from there.

I used to see these hybrids all the time. It's giving back so many sad but happy memories 😭

This is why when I used to go from Leicester to Manchester, I always preferred to go via Sheffield rather than Birmingham, despite the fact one of the stations on the Birmingham line is just a few minutes from my house. Across the peaks, and then of course, that view from Stockport Viaduct over the M60 and with the Manchester skyline in the distance (though you get that if you go via Birmingham as well). Perfect.

I definetly love getting the train too! Being doing a lot of epic journeys in the past few years, including riding a SWR 159 all the way from London to Exeter (as part of my Devon day trips), a Greater Anglia 755 all the way from London to Norwich and a LNER Azuma all the way up to Geordieland! 01:07 I did that too, from Exeter to Plymouth. Glad I got to experience an XC HST before they went P.S. i know you don't take requests (or at least you didn't for a period), but I recommend riding TfW from Swansea to Carmarthen. It's a great journey, and quite often you can end up in a single carriage 153 which makes it different from what we're used to in the South East! Certainly a great way to advertise train travel!
